Description
We depart the city for Simonstown and along the peninsula to Boulders Beach to meet the only Penguins native to Africa. Spend the morning with these lively birds in the protected waters around the boulders, and explore this delightful beach, keeping an eye out for seals, dolphins and bird life.

From Simonstown we drive along the scenic coastline and inland to the Cheetah Outreach Centre. We learn about these endangered animals and the importance of their conservation with a chance to pet the majestic cats - always under the watchful eye of their trained handlers. During your visit you will see and learn about the beautiful Anatolian Shepherd dogs that were bred to protect livestock from predators (including cheetah). The center is also home to various other African predators including caracal, serval and mischievous meerkats.

Enjoy lunch at a classic Cape Winelands restaurant before making our way to Eagle Encounters, a bird of prey rehabilitation and conservation center, where you have a rare opportunity to see some of Africa's largest raptors at very close quarters.

End the day with an aerial raptor display or with the opportunity to handle a Spotted Eagle Owl.
